Strategy Consultant - Strategy Execution in Personal Customers

Danske Bank has defined its Forward ’28 strategy to lay the tracks for a profitable growth journey in the years ahead. You will play a pivotal role in continuing to bring the strategy for Personal Customers from plan to action – ensuring transparency, alignment and traction in the execution.

Being part of the team

The Strategy Execution Team is the department driving the execution of the Forward ’28 strategy in Personal Customers. The Strategy Execution Team focuses on i) orchestrating design, delivery and implementation of the execution initiative portfolio, ii) ensuring clear decision making, consistent prioritization and management of dependencies and risks and iii) ensuring ongoing alignment with other business units and group functions.

In Strategy Execution you will join the PMO & Strategy Alignment team which spearhead three key activities crucial to the success of the Forward ’28 strategy:

• Driving the overall planning agenda for the execution initiative portfolio, ensuring alignment with the Forward ’28 strategy and ambitions within Personal Customers
• Enabling clear decision-making, consistent prioritisation, and effective management of strategic outcomes across Personal Customers Forward ‘28 execution initiatives
• Facilitating continuous alignment towards senior stakeholders, other business units and Group functions to address decisions, priorities, dependencies, and risks effectively

About the role

We are recruiting for a Strategy Consultant or Senior Consultant depending on previous experience and tasks for the role could include:

• Provide clear, concise updates to senior management and the Board of Directors, aligning with the requirements set by Group Strategic Steering and Finance
• Act as project manager across different areas for a diverse range of strategic, digital and programme-related projects supporting strategy execution
• Facilitate meetings with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives and conduct ad-hoc analyses to support collaboration with other strategy-focused functions across the bank

In this role you will collaborate closely with the other Strategy Execution teams (i.e. Execution Leads, Digital Strategy Execution, Finance, Strategy etc.), as well as with other entities in the group that are following up on the strategy.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role

We are looking for a strategy consultant/senior strategy consultant with a strong commercial and business understanding, a can-do attitude and the willingness to learn. Additionally, we expect you to possess a strategic mindset and a robust project execution skillset, coupled with a passion for driving execution initiatives tailored to diverse audiences and often with a flavour of digital aspects.

You have a great drive to connect with stakeholders and are considered a self-starter. You will be responsible for your own assignments, and we trust that you drive and manage tasks to deliver great results.

Your background:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field like economics/business, IT or law
• Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience preferably from strategy, strategy execution, consultancy, or other strategic project related roles (for senior consultant’s previous experience from consulting is a requirement)
• Outstanding problem solving, storytelling and communicative skills
• Ability to analyse commercial performance and transform insights into presentations
• Strong skills within storytelling and the use of PowerPoint for different purposes
• Structured approach, ability to take ownership and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries
• Ability to communicate complex subjects clearly and precisely – both written and spoken
• Seeking continuously feedback and challenging existing ideas to ensure the best possible outcome for our customers

The primary work location would be at our headquarters, located right next to Copenhagen Central Station.
