Are you motivated by leading skilled people and motivated by the opportunity to shape how two locations work together as one strong advisory team? If you’re interested about corporate advisory, sustainability, and working closely with major clients, this might be your next step.

As our new Head of Corporate & Sustainability Advisory for Denmark and Norway, you will lead our Corporate & Sustainability Advisory team within Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I), taking on a pivotal leadership role across two key Nordic markets. You will advise the largest corporate clients in Denmark and Norway, enhancing client engagement, guiding major corporates through critical financial decisions, and ensuring that sustainability remains firmly embedded in our advisory approach This is both a strategic and operational role. Alongside leading a highly skilled organisation, you will contribute directly to deep financial analysis and modelling across areas such as capital structure, debt capacity, liquidity, rating considerations and sustainability-related financial insights.

Build and manage Our Cross‑Nordic Advisory Organisation

With Denmark and Norway now brought together under one leadership, you will play a central role in shaping a shared culture, aligning ways of working, and building a strong joint identity across both markets. You will unify two established teams into one cohesive advisory organisation ensuring seamless collaboration while preserving a solid on-the-ground presence in each location.

Working closely with Client Managers and specialist units, including Loan & Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and Markets (FX & IRD), you and your advisors will act as strategic sparring partners to clients. You will also collaborate with colleagues in our sister team covering Sweden and Finland. In this role, you report to the Nordic Head of Corporate & Sustainability Advisory

The Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to drive the growth of Corporate & Sustainability Advisory across two key Nordic markets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and unifying the Denmark and Norway teams—setting direction, establishing shared ways of working, and promoting seamless collaboration across locations.
  • Ensuring high-quality advisory delivery to LC&Is top-tier corporate clients across Demark and Norway, including eveloping our financial advisory approach, monitoring market trends and evolving client needs.
  • Maintaining and deepening relationships with senior bankers, internal stakeholders and large corporate clients.

In addition:

This role is intentionally designed for a leader who wants to stay close to the analytical work. Beyond setting direction for the team, you will personally contribute to deep financial modelling and case execution within key areas such as debt capacity, liquidity, ratings, capital structure and sustainability. Candidates looking for a purely people‑management or oversight role will not be a fit.

  • Embedding sustainability in traditional advisory topics, helping customers navigate the transition to a more sustainable and low‑carbon economy.
  • Supporting Danske Bank’s strategic goals and contributing to our Forward ’28 goals.

Who We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • Experience engaging with senior decision makers and roven leadership experience, ideally from cross‑country or cross‑functional settings
  • A background from banking, a credit‑rating agency, credit research, Big4 advisory, or similar analytical and client‑facing environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with solid experience in financial modelling and strategic advisory, and an ability to explain complex topics clearly
  • Interest and solid understanding of sustainability trends in financial markets and how these influence availability, pricing and structure of capital.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in a Scandinavian language is an advantage.

What We Offer

We offer a high degree of responsibility and exposure, along with an inspiring and collaborative Nordic environment. You will join dedicated and highly skilled colleagues who support your professional and personal development.
